It might only be September, but Dua Lipa, 26, is already gearing up for Halloween. The pop star just embraced her spooky side in a brand new vampire-themed Instagram post—and her abs look so sculpted, it’s scary.
The series of pics shows Dua working all of her best angles in a black bikini top and pants set topped with a matching blazer, and her super toned core totally steals the show. “4 the thrill 🩸,” she captioned the post, which had fellow celebs and fans basically falling all over themselves in the comments.
Rapper Megan Thee Stallion wrote “😍😍😍,” while one fan added, “Ladies and gentlemen…HER!” (Ditto!) “My jaw DROPPED omg,” someone else said. Honestly, it’s a pretty iconic moment for the “Levitating” singer:
So just how does Dua work those washboard abs? For starters, she works out pretty early in the morning—around 8:30 a.m.
“Whether it’s on Zoom, doing a workout with my friend Ella in L.A. who leads a kickass workout class called Sculpt With Ella, or with my best friend Bunny who comes over to train me on days when I’m feeling super lazy and need someone to get me motivated, getting physical really starts my day off right,” she told Refinery29.
To tone her six-pack, Dua turns to “variations of crunches” like leg raises and bicycle crunches. “Planks are good, although almost certainly my least favorite!” she said.
Even on her busiest days, Dua does her best to get moving. “I try and work out as much as I can,” she told New Zealand magazine Viva in 2018. She added that even a few minutes a day is better than nothing.
“I love doing something that’s really fast and quick, like a 15-minute HIIT session which I can do before I start my day,” she explained. “If I’ve got a really early call time, I don’t want to be waking up hours before I need to to go and do a workout. So a high-intensity workout, shower, breakfast, and I’m on my way.”
Food-wise, Dua loves cheffing it up in the kitchen. “With all the running around I do for work, it’s nice to come home, slow down, and connect with the food that nourishes my body and life,” she told Refinery29.
But the “New Rules” singer is also all about balance. “I try and stay as healthy as possible whenever I can,” she told Adidas, per Beauty Crew. “I’m never one to stop myself having treats, I do love naughty treats. But I try and limit it to days when I’m not as busy, because if I do eat a doughnut it usually puts me in a food coma!”
Either way, it’s clear that her fitness routine is working (and then some). Sign me up!
